It’s Been a Pleasure, Noni Blake by Claire Christain

I’m almost done with this one already and so far, it’s really funny and a lovely story filled with a lot of life lessons about going after what you want and realizing that life isn’t that long, so why not live your best life! Noni Blake is a very relatable character who is terrified of change but can’t stand where her life is at. She decides to make a list of people from her past that she wants to have sex with and changes her appearance to feel more confident! I can’t wait to see how this book ends and how Noni’s story comes to a close because she deserves a happy ending!

The Minders by John Marrs

If you know me you know I love John Marrs’ writing style and I cannot wait to see how creepy this book is! It revolves around 5 strangers who get the chance of a lifetime to rid of their legal mistakes in return for holding the government’s darkest secrets in their brains. !Anything about big brother is super suspenseful and creepy. John Marrs always has a way of taking that to the next level, so I can’t wait to have this be my June thriller pick! I’ve heard mixed reviews about this but I have high hopes

The Selection by Kiera Cass

selec

I decided to throw a YA romance in the mix and this is the first book of a 5 book series! I know this series used to be popular back in the Hunger Games and Twilight days, so maybe this will be nostalgic for me! The selection is basically like a YA bachelor where 35 women compete to win the heart of Prince Maxon. America Singer is one of those women, but she doesn’t want to win, in fact, she feels like she’s betraying her true love back home who’s a caste below her, Aspen. But when America meets Prince Maxon for the first time, everything changes! I’m excited to see how this story goes and if I enjoy it enough to continue the series!

Normal People by Sally Rooney

np

The last book I will mention for June is Lost In The Plot’s book club pick! Normal People has been super popular for a couple of years now and I’ve had it on my bookshelf for months, so I’m thrilled all of you voted for it this month! Normal People revolves around Connell and Marienne, two people from the same high school who have nothing in common. But there’s something within both of them that keeps gravitating towards each other. The entire story revolves around friendship and genuine connections, and I cannot wait to discuss the premise of this story with the book club at the end of the month!

Conclusion

I’m sure you’ve noticed there’s a bit of a pattern of me reading 4 books monthly! I’m really hoping to read all 4 of these in June, but if I can only get around to 3 due to moving across the country and being mega busy, then The Selection would be pushed to July! Comment down below what you plan on reading in June! Thank you so much for reading and have a great rest of your week bookworms!❤
